A Very Arkham City Christmas | A Blue Goggles Films Short

A comedic short film set in the world of Batman: Arkham City — but told from the perspective of the goons. Two low-level Arkham inmates, Doug and Gary, are hiding out on Christmas Eve, traumatized and shell-shocked after another run-in with Batman. They compare notes on what he did to Larry, to Myron, to Eugene and the car door. They're done. They just want to survive the holidays. And somewhere in a crumbling Arkham alley, surrounded by cardboard boxes and a sad little Christmas tree with colored lights, they exchange gifts.

Shot entirely on location at night in a dark industrial exterior, the film commits fully to the Arkham aesthetic — ski masks, Arkham D.O.C. hoodies, moody blue lighting — while playing the emotional beats completely straight. The joke is that these two guys, for all their villainy, just want what everyone wants at Christmas: to be with someone they care about. It's surprisingly warm. Directed by Ben Moody. Cinematography by Jay Klein.
