Skyrim Intervention | A Blue Goggles Films Short
A comedic short film about the power of obsession — specifically, what happens when one man's love for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim crosses from hobby into calling. Greg hasn't left the house in months. He missed Christmas. He missed his son's birthday. He speaks in the cadence of an ancient Nord. His family, at their wit's end, stages an intervention — but Greg arrives wearing a foil helmet and a homemade cape, and by the end of it, one family member is asking to be taken to Skyrim and another wants a divorce.
Shot in a single domestic interior with a circle of concerned loved ones facing a man who has genuinely transcended their reality, the film mines its comedy from the gap between the sincerity of the intervention format and the complete, unshakeable conviction of a man who has logged over a thousand hours and considers himself Dovahkiin. The joke isn't that Greg is broken — it's that he might actually be right. A Blue Goggles Films Production. Directed by Ben Moody. Cinematography by Jay Klein.
